The biggest news to all iPhone user is the long wait iPhone OS 4, which Steve Job announced it on Apple Keynote April 2010. He introduced 7 Tentpole features that will make the iPhone look better! They are:

“Tentpole” Features

In addition to the above-mentioned new or updated features, the bulk of the presentation focused on seven so-called “Tentpole” features:

1. Multitasking

Developers will have access to seven multitasking services (listed below), which will allow tasks to be performed in the background while preserving performance of the foreground app and overall battery life. So you’ll be able to make a Voice over IP call while playing a game or checking email, find a restaurant on Urbanspoon while listening to Pandora, and more. Per Steve Jobs, “We weren’t the first to this party, but we’re gonna be the best.” It will work by double-clicking the Home button within a running app, which will bring up a bar at bottom (similar in appearance to the row of “dock” icons already at the bottom of the iPhone screen) that displays all apps currently running—scroll to the app you want and tap the icon to select. Games will have a countdown to give you time to get ready to re-start where you left off. The seven multitasking services are:

Background audio – Think Pandora. Streaming audio in the background while continuing to perform other tasks. We’ve always been able to do this with the iPod app and other Apple-native apps, but now we’ll be able to do it with 3rd-party apps too.
VoIP - Think Skype. Similar to the above, streaming Voice over IP in the background while continuing to perform other tasks. Will also now be able to answer Skype calls when the iPhone is locked.
Background location – Two types, GPS for turn-by-turn directions (think TomTom) and cell tower for power preservation (think social networking like Loopt). Also adding a location indicator to the upper right of the status bar, and users will have the ability to enable/disable location requesting by app, as well as an indicator icon displaying if an app has asked for the user’s location in the last 24 hours.
Push notifications - Pushed through an Apple server to your iPhone
Local notifications - Sent to you from a local app
Task completion – Think flickr. Say you’re uploading a bunch of pics to flickr, but don’t want to wait for it to finish. It will continue the upload in the background even if you switch to a different app.
Fast app switching – The running foreground app stores its state and preserves it in background for when you return to the app.

2. Folders

Get faster access to your favorites by organizing apps into folders with drag-and-drop simplicity. And browse and manage up to 2160 apps at once — many more than the current limit of 180 apps.

Drag and Drop UI – Touch and hold the icon, drag and drop it to another icon to create a folder.
Intelligent naming – OS 4 intelligently auto-names the folder based on the App Store category of the apps that you are grouping. Folder names are editable. Folders can be moved just like app icons.
180 –> 2160 apps – The upper limit of apps goes from the current 180 to 2160.

3. Mail

See messages from all your email accounts displayed together in a unified inbox, switch between inboxes more quickly, organize messages by threads, and open attachments in third-party apps.

Unified inbox – All of your email addresses come into one inbox
Multiple Exchange support - Now supporting more than one Microsoft Exchange email accounts
Fast inbox switching – Move quickly between inboxes with just a few taps
Threaded messages - A indicator will be displayed for emails that are part of a thread of related messages
Open attachments with apps – Open attachments from any App Store app.

4. iBooks

Easily flip through the pages of a book you’ve downloaded from the iBookstore while listening to your music collection. Browse tens of thousands of books — many of them free — by title, author, or genre. You can even check out reviews and read sample pages before you buy.

“Delightful” ebook reader – Steve Jobs’ word, not mine!
iBookstore – Same as for the iPad
Buy once, read anywhere – Buy once on any Apple device, transfer to any other Apple device for no additional charge
Sync page and bookmarks – Wirelessly sync your current page and bookmarks between Apple devices
Free Winnie the Pooh – Hey, who doesn’t like Winnie the Pooh?

5. Enterprise

iPhone OS 4 offers more useful features for businesses. With enhancements to security, scalability, and compatibility, IT managers have even more reasons to deploy iPhone throughout their enterprises.

Wireless app distribution
Multiple Exchange accounts
Exchange Server 2010
SSL VPN support

6. Game Center

Later in 2010, Apple will be launching Game Center, with which it hopes to further cash in on the ever-increasing popularity of the online gaming community.

Social gaming network – Seems like an obvious combo
Invite friends - Challenge your friends to a game over your device
Matchmaking – Automatically searches for players of similar ability
Leaderboards – Compare your results with your friends
Achievements - See how you are progressing through a game and compare to your friends.

7. iAd

iAd is a “breakthrough” mobile advertising platform from Apple. With it, apps can feature rich media ads that combine the emotion of TV with the interactivity of the web. For developers, it means a new, easy-to-implement source of revenue. For advertisers, it creates a new media outlet that offers consumers highly targeted information.

Emotion + interactivity - Basically they are going for a combo of TV-quality ads and interactive web ads
Ads keep you in your app – Won’t have to find your way back to where you started once you are done with the ad
Built into iPhone OS – Ad software is integral to the OS and therefore hopefully quicker and more stable
Apple sells & hosts adds – Centralization for simplification (and allows Apple to maintain control)
60% revenues – > developers – $$ in developer’s pocket, $$ in Apple’s pocket. Pitched as a win-win.

It's been a while I didn't update my blog... well.. There are 2 major reasons for this:

1. Super tight schedule.. very busy..
Well... this week is week 8 for this 3rd trimester already.. and I didn't enjoy my day in this trimester a bit..

I tell you my schedule you also lari.. UTAR thought all the student in their campus is robot is it?

and I still got many assignment yet!! Shit man... how could I managed to survive to these stupid schedule!

2. Another reason is the stupid INTERNET CONNECTION in my hostel..
Don't what happen to my internet connection.. slow until cannot MSN, slow until cannot facebook.. slow until CANNOT DO ANYTHING!! that the reason why I didn't update my blog for quite a while..
But lucky today morning speed is okay.. so take this opportunity to write this blog.. hoho~~

Lazy Afternoon

Back from CNY to Kampar last Monday.. and Wednesday I already had my Math II exam.. starting this week, my life getting busier, assignments, tests, practical tests, come 1-by-1.. very sien lo..

Yesterday was Prophet's birthday.. nothing to do at hostel, study bit.. play game bit.. surf internet bit.. also very sien.. Damn! Got class also sien, no class also sien.. in summary, my life in kampar = sien..

Did you try out Sushi King in Sunway Carnival yet? I tried last week, the service quite slow.. and you can notice that when you pay for the receipt, the name of the company is 'Sushi Kin Sdn. Bhd", is it missing a 'g' there? I will update the photo later.

Well, nothing special happen for the 1st week when I back to Kampar, so.. not much thing to write either.. Everything more on study-homework-exam-assignment.. siao liao la... How could I survive that wave.. anyway.. Do the best I can la.. always say like that one, never change.. hehe..

And.. hardware faulty iPhone already in Maxis Center for more than 2 week already.. Feel like just a dream when I have the iPhone, I miss iPhone very much, hope my iPhone faster back.....

CNY Week!

Hoho.. today is 21st February already, later tonight gonna pray god, and tomorrow 7am I'm gonna start my journey back to Kampar.. (Haiz..) Tomorrow gonna be a bad day for me.. as 11am later that day will have class until 7pm.. hoho~ Time to die Jason!

Anyway, this post is about what was happened on my life during this CNY week..

So, did you guy get many 'ang powsss'? Well, I haven't counted mine, but seem quite a lot :P.. and of course, 1 thing that CNY must do - GAMBLING!.. (Bukan, Kami main Caturrrr saje..) Anyway, this year CNY won around over RM100, so happy.. extra incomes --- hohoho~ How your situations? did you play? did you win? If you didn't play, very sorry to yourself one lo...

This year CNY don't know why got many movies to watch.. so far I only watched 2.. which are:

This movie not bad, bit like Harry Potter Style (From Harry Potter Director). The Creatures look nice, story not bad, but the acting bit kiddy style la, if compare to Harry Potter.. Anyway the movie not bad la..

Very nice movie, laughed a lot when I watched this movie.. rated must watch for this year CNY!!

Also, the 1st day of CNY, is the Valentine Day too! For those who fell in love with someone - Ahem, did you take your opportunity to do something to the person you love? I'm not gonna tell mine xD.. anyway.. I would like to share this song.. Valentine by Martina McBride.. I know Valentine is already pass (A week already xD), but this song is too nice too listen together with your love one!

Ah.. Wednesday gonna have the 1st mid-term test of this trimester already.. which is Mathematics II.. Still not revise yet!! Monday gonna busy to prepare for the examination liao.. For those who taking this subject too, good luck!

Ah, 1 thing more.. my iPhone in Maxis Center >.< I think is radio failure and cannot activate my Sim card.. Now the problem is, I did Jailbreak my iPhone, which can cause my warranty void.. However, I did restore to wipe the trace of my jailbreak activity.. The Maxis Person keep say I Jailbreak my phone then restore then got problem, problem is.. I did a diagnostic and found out it should be hardware problem.. I keep denied that I not jailbreak my iPhone.. But the staff did help my to submit my iPhone to service center.. and ask me wait 40 days.. Crap! After 40 days will know the result - either 1-to-1 exchange, or unable to claim warranty.. But after wiped up all the jailbreak traces.. I hope and pray to god hope that I can claim warranty.. abo need spend money to fix...

Currenty using back my n81.. No more touch screen, miss my iPhone much~~~

CNY just in 3 days more!! Tomorrow will going back to hometown already, and have reunion dinner at Saturday night. How about you guys? What your planning on this year CNY?

Well mine as usual, gambling a lot during CNY~ Hoho.. Somemore this year got PTPTN as backup! Of course la, won't spend whole PTPTN for gambling.. Besides that, this year must get many many ang paossssssssss (Red Packet)!!

Before that, did you guys ready for CNY yet? Did you bought a new pair of shoes? shirts? or any gadget to welcome CNY this year? For me, of course.. this year, my iPhone, new nike shoes, and new Hush Puppies will celebrate CNY with me!~ hoho!!

This year gonna 21 years old already.. walao eh.. starting to grow old... However, this year I can ENTER GENTING CASINO!!! WOOOOHOOOO~~ I guess my life still will be the same for this year.. a journey for another 365 days trip.. Felt very tired, felt reluctant to continue to walk every steps.. What I wishing for is.. I will be more happy, more smiles everyday~

Also.. after CNY, my mid-term tests will come 1-by-1.. everytime.. from primary school until now. Mom always said, 新的一年, 新的开始 (New start for every new year!).. But thing never really start before.. still much much lazy :P... Moreover, this semester really 'GG'.. Will I made my own revolution?

Just back from birthday celebration for 4 people! They are TY, Terence, Caros, and Theodore.. Atfer class end at 7pm, we went to Tesco's King confection to buy 2 1kg cake, one is blueberry and another one is chocolate..

The celebration start at 10pm, where Theodore, Terence and TY don't know about birthday celebration for them too, all they know is we just want to celebrate the birthday for Caros. So, another cake blueberry flavour we keep in my car 1st. when they were celebrating with Caros, Pi Ja, Hui Peng and I sneak to side of my car and light up the candle on the cake for TY and Terence, and then bring in for a surprise, hoho, we managed to give them a surprise successfully!

We had some fun, and some games too.. Lazy to mention 'em all, as very tired cause of whole day activities non-stop.. Anyway.. Here some photo..

Haha another case.. Just now want post my celebration blog post.. Uploading.. POP!! Walao eh, blackout.. Whole area no electricity...

Now the whole area dark as hell, a lot people walking on the street.. Look more like walking zombies..

Still remember when we were primary school, teacher ask us write an essay about ' a night of no electricity'.. We can describe how happy and excitement on the night.. However, i don't feel any excitement, and i very bored right now and typing this blog (lol)..

later on.. just lie on bed.. slowly slowly.. and slept already.. around 3am, the electricity recovered and crowd keep screaming outside, and woke me up.. lol..
I just wake up and switch off the light, and continue to sleep, hohoho~

the next day morning, as usual, 7.10am will wake up to attend 8am lecture, take my cloth and towel go inside bathroom, switch on the electric shower.. EH!? why no water come out geh?.. Siao liao la... no water at this morning!? how to bath.. luckily I still got a pail of water that I usually filled up - for wash leg purpose.. No choice.. but use the water to bath lo.. and it was freakin' cold! Very very tired on that day, everything seem not went well..

Hope my lucky better by this CNY.. if not.. gambling sure lose liao.. CHOI!

When Steve Job introduced and bring out the iPad on 27 Jan 2010, crowd were keep clapping on their hand. iPad is a tablet computer also a new product from Apple. It similar with iPod Touch but with 9.7 inches screen (HoHo~). But still, iPad will will run apps designed specifically for the iPad as well as most iPhone OS apps.

If you watched the conference, Steve Job said :" Imagine that you surf your facebook on a big screen, in your hand and in front of you."

I'm agree with the statement.. I really couldn't imagine I get my hand on this iPad, surfing MP (xD), on a big screen, in my hand, and in front of me (lol).

My comments - iPad not very portable, as it compare iPod Touch, I love the design though, very sleek design, but for Malaysian.. the living standard not that 'high-class' yet to purchase an internet tablet for RM1722.80 ($499)?

Dinner at Vegas Kitchen

Although there are many choices and many restaurant in Kampar, but the variety of foods are limited.. Not chicken chop rice, then Wat Tan Ho... or Chicken Rice.. I spent 7 month in Kampar and started to get bored with the food around here.. Every afternoon not chicken rice at Seng Yip, then Mihun at UTAR.. If not having dinner around KTAR there, then Seng Yip again, or ABC =.=.

However, yesterday night, we had noticed 1 new restaurant opened in Kampar, which called 'Vegas Kitchen', without hesitation, as we don't have much choices, we go for a try, for our dinner.

The environment in the restaurant quite okay, the restaurant design looked western classic, the musics are those 60'-80' sentimental and classic.. However, we were frustrated by the slow and poor services there, I guess too less worker working around there, but a lot of customer need to be served.. Food served around 40 mins after order..

Also.. We were annoyed by those stupid little insect around there.. keep buzzing around us.. some even drown into our drinks..... I ordered Vegas Cheesy Chicken Chop, which cost RM11.80, and a Float Root Beer, cost around RM3.00.. The food cost a bit expensive, but reasonable because the food quite nice, matchable with those high-class restaurant, the size of the chicken chop was average, not too small either.. Problem is there too many Potato salad that come with the dishes (I guessed I'm not a potato lover).. I prefer french fries xD. Overall, the foods are good! but can't eat those for everyday as I unable to afford that much (I'M NOT RICH!).. Anyway, if you haven't try the food from 'Vegas Kitchen' yet, go for a try, I bet you won't regret~

KL Trip~

Sorry for didn't update my blog for quite a while, since I have A LOT of things to do when I back from KL.. so.. don't have much time to blog and share my KL experience here.

Anyway, last Saturday morning, I bought a bus ticket 8.30am, journey from Kampar to KL, to find someone important for me xD. On that day, woke up early in the morning (around 7.15am), double check whether everything is packed up and drink a box of Milo for my breakfast:

Ride the bus on 8.30am, Konsortium very good, the bus start journey to KL at the time. It took roughly around 2 and 1/2 hours, and I managed to arrive at KL Puduraya Bus station, at Plaza Rakyat there..

Since this is the first time I come to KL alone, I'm not familiar with the environment and transport here.. first time ride LRT in KL... Lucky got bring my Touch N' Go card, abo need queue at the ticket counter for ages just for buying a ticket..!

My destination is at Bandar Tasek Selatan, and that time I at Plaza Rakyat, looking on the directory and map for the LRT.. and I know which LRT I should ride.. Ampang and Sri Petaling share the same platform.. so, whenever a LRT come, I just ride on it.. however.. for the 1st time, I ride wrong LRT.. because the LRT is going to Ampang, while I should ride Sri Petaling LRT.. Look very stupid, faster come out and find a way back.. feel like lost liao, haha.. so fast..

However, I managed to arrive my destination at last, feeling so happy lo~ After meet.. we ride LRT to KLCC.. notice KL lifestyle is very tiring, you have to be 'Sardin' to fit in the LRT, because everyone rush and push inside the LRT when the LRT door is opened.

When arrive, KLCC, we go to PetroSains, which is a science center of Petronas, quite cheap, only cost RM9.60, and we spend almost 3 hours in there! Many exciting exhibition to see, games, and more, not bad la, for 'Malaysia'. Please look below for the some photo in PetroSains.

After that, it was around 6pm, we continue our journey to LowYat, to look around xD. Then go to timesquare for some shopping.. and we managed to back around 10pm......

On the next day, we ride KTM to Mid Valley, it was the worst experience I ever had.. crowd.. really crowd in there, and you don't stand a chance to breath... lol. And I trip at KL ended around 6pm, and I ride bus at PuduRaya back to Kampar..

Today is the 9th day of trimester in UTAR.. If want to ask me did everything went well? I would say, Hell no! This sem filled with tension and pressure.. What I need more is free time...

Well, as you know, UTAR often described as:

Now I really tiada rehat liao.. My schedule almost all filled with study already.. What I really hate is the schedule that organized by UTAR..

Monday 11am till 7pm class.. 4 subject on that day.. People alway said, after back from class, need to revise back what lecture had teached us.. When i back from 7pm, after had my dinner and bath, 8pm already.. + sometime got homework or assignment to do.. Where the time for my revision? I need to sleep early as my class fall on 8am the next day!

Tuesday 8am-5pm, same as well, 4 sub.. Lucky this day early back a bit.. Got some very little time for relax and some web surfing too.. But when all the assignment come.. I think i will get very busy too... Since this day have practical class, so I need to work on my lab report

Wednesday 8am-5pm, 3 subject, same as well.. Like tuesday.. But still need work on some revision though..

Thursday 11am-1pm, the day I like the most.. Only 1 lecture.. The day i usualy use on blogging and have some gaming and some entertainment.. However, I told myself i need to do some little revision on night as well.. As 3rd sem not like 1st sem already.. Thing getting harder and harder..

Friday 9am-6pm, 2 subject.. Friday also need to work quite much.. Luckily there still some break in the middle, not like monday and tuesday..

And today having big problem on Data Structure and Algorithm lecture.. Not really understand how to approaches recursive function.. And i still work on the practical assessment.. However, i finally managed done the iteration part.. But the recursive part no idea how to do yet.. Gonna ask tutor next week..

Feel the real challenge come toward already.. And i felt quite depress currently.. Sleep not very well too... Give up not an option for me, but working hard not easy for me either... Everything felt just suddenly come to me, and I don't disappoint everyone who care about me, but what if I failed to do so?

UTAR life really tiring.. And i started to get bored of it.. Still wondering how long I still can continue to live on it.. A 4 year course compress into 3 years.. UTAR just try to kill people..

Express my feeling already, now for some relax stuff..!

After 2 week on living hell, I'm gonna go to KL on this saturday for some vacation and to find my friends too! Going to shopping.. Vieit science center and more! Will be going to there by bus.. And I bought the bus ticket yesterday

Will share some of my experience and my vacation when i back! Hoho~~

Operation: Cicada

Just now had dinner with my housemate, Aik Han.. just we 2 persons, as usual, Kampar just a boring with entertainment-less town.. we go back to our hostel..

Enter my room, then trying to charge my iPhone since it gonna drain out the battery already.. then suddenly 'szzzzzzz', a sound made of wing of insect, and I can confirm this gonna be a huge 1.. Then look around.. Holly shit!!! a HUGE CICADA! (in Chinese called 蝉), small 1.. okay for me.. but this, totally unacceptable.. call aik han, and he scare too, lol.. But we must get rid of it.. If not.. tonight it gonna sleep and overnight with me liao..

Trust me, the photo may look small, but it roughly more than 10cm LONG!, really huge!! and it haven't died yet.. We keep plan strategy, about how to capture and get rid it.. We been frightened away few time because of it's sudden movement when we get near. After that, call my room mate, yi fan for help~

After set up a strategy, we formed a 'swat' team, and the operation codename is 'Cicada'. and we collect our weapon for the operation:

So, I use a stick, move away those thing nearby it.. and our brave Yi Fan go near it, and FASTER use the dustbin to cover it! Now we use some paper to cover below the dustbin, then move to the Styrofoam as the base..

Now we have caught the cicada, here come the problem, how to get it of it? After quite a while.. I suggest we bring the dustbin, together with the Styrofoam out our hostel.. then put far away, then we bring 1 more weapon for this operation:

We take back our 'equipment', and faster evacuated back to our hostel, and - Mission Accomplished!

Anyway, tonight, is a good, bit scary, and quite exciting experienced we had in this trimester. However, I don't want it happen again! ^^

Kampar 'Bread Chicken'

Today Louis and his friend come and pay for a visit to us in Kampar from KL (UTAR Setapak representative huh? xD). Anyway, they arrived here around 4.30pm and visit me, Aik Han, and Yi Fan first.. After that, he go find Pei Sing, Yong Fa, and other friends that study in UTAR Kampar.

On that night (Or just now), we were having a dinner at Kampar Old Town (NOT THAT RESTAURANT OLD TOWN), a restaurant call 'Lam Gei' 林记, famous in 'Bread Chicken'..

We ordered 1 bread chicken herb flavour. wat tan ho (or DUA PAN in Hokkien), and 1 mee hoon.. eat very happy lo, cause first time in Kampar eat this nia.. This is what we had as dinner:

Still remember 2 days ago, went to a restaurant at KTAR there, eat Bah Kut Teh as dinner, wa.. very syok, eat till keep drinking the soup almost finish! Feel very satisfying..

When I woke up, the sky was still dark.. take out my iPhone and check on it, how come no alarm.. Suddenly notice that, there only 3.30am that time! Shit! And my throat getting very dry and pain..

Wake up and went to toilet, then keep drinking water.. then lying on the bed trying to sleep back.. Tic Tok Tic tok.. The time ticking, and I unable to sleep.. keep turning around on the bed, until around 4.15am. 'Beh tong' liao.. wake up, comb comb hair then drive to nearest 7-11 to buy 3 packs of Strepsils, which are Regular, cool and extra strong flavour... Keep eating, trying to cure my throat, eat eat.. then look at the back of the packing..

Instruction : Slowly dissolve a Strepsils into your mouth every 2-3 hours, DO NOT OVERDOSE.

OVERDOSE? I think I eat them every 2-3 minutes, I think I OVER OVERDOSE liao.. But cannot die gok la xD.

That day, lucky only one class, Data Structure and Algorithm.. Keep forcing myself to concentrade on the class, but the sore throat keep distracting me away.. Shit.. I want to recover ASAP.. that night (yesterday night), drive to Pharmacy (Traditional one) buy sore throat medicine, the pharmacist gave me this:

4 tablet of Dequadin Lozenge, I ate before, and 9 tablet of unknown black thing, told me have to eat 3 Black + 1 orange everytime..

On that night, lucky still able to sleep, I guessed too tired.. until today morning, my throat is still pain, but not quite serious as yesterday.. Later still got Digital Circuit and System Lecture. Hope it could recover faster. See ya~

Life in UTAR (3rd Trimester)

Just came back from UTAR, after attending 3 hours of practical for the Electronic Devices and Circuit subject.. Today is 2nd day of the trimester, and everything been speed up and very busy, life just like going to hell.. Monday class from 11am-7pm, while today from 8am-5pm, interval rest not more than an hour...

Yesterday was the 1st day of the trimester, when I drove my car, enter west gate of UTAR, passing by A Block.. My mind suddenly appear many images, these include those busy life, need to see those words on book again, miss Penang foods, and many more..

I gonna attend my 1st lecture class of my 3rd trimester during that time, and that is Digital Circuits and Systems, knowing my life gonna like hell for more than 3 months again.. However, good thing is, MORE GIRLS in UTAR! New 'amateur' or junior of new in-take for January 2010, but not much time to peep on each of them.. since the timetable too tight!

Anyway, I'm already attended 5 subject already, left Data Structures and Algorithms that haven't attend yet (will attend on this thursday). Meet some new lecturers, some are weird though... Here is some comment on them:

Introductory to Statistic - Lecturer kind, teach quite well and plan everything for us already.
Digital Circuit And System - My 1st Trimester lecturer for Digital Fundamental, he is very very good lecturer
Electronic Devices and Circuits - Don't know where is he from, English spoke well, but the pronounce very very weird, but he definitely not from Malaysia.
Mathematics 2 - He teach very well, and he is cute, look and act very funny..
Object-Oriented Programming - Indian Girl, explain okay.. english spoke very well

Things go harder for this trimester, and I expected when the trimester break, and really gonna hardworking to achieve and score all the subject, hope my luck goood and I got the 'heart' to do that.. since I already been lazy... haha~

Anyway, very tired after attend those lectures and practical, gonna take a nap a while.. Good night, see you again.

Arrive At Kampar!

Ah.. today is the day that I need to return back to Kampar, since the trimester break is over =(.. Packed things up and get ready to start my journey with Aik Han and Yi Fan... The car is full loaded lol..

We start our journey around 1.45pm.. around 2 hours 30 minutes trip.. And finally we reach our destination.. haiz.. come back to this bored place again.. everyday chicken rice, fried rice, what what rice...

When I think about tomorrow gonna wake up early, attend all the lecture, waa.. more sien...
Once we reach our hostel, we start tidying our room, since almost a month didn't clean up already..

And just now had our dinner, and again.. our 'no choice' favourite drink = Cha Shuet (Chinese Tea)

Anyway, starting tomorrow, need to 'pia' again liao.. Ang Gong Bo Bi hope I can concentrade on this trimester and score again! I will try my best as well.. I will back on CNY, don't know which day yet.. So, see you guys around when that time~

iPhone: Install Crack Apps

The following guides will teach you how to install cracked application on iPod Touch / iPhone on firmware 3.1.2. However, this is just meant to share some info, I will not post or taking any request on how to get your hand on those cracked iTunes applications.

For your information, there are many way to install cracked application, and the following guides I will share only 2 methods, which is by using install0us, and appsync

**NOTE** Your iPhone/iPod Touch must be JAILBREAK'ED!

GUIDE TO INSTALL CRACKED APPLICATIONS USING APPSYNC

Go to Cydia

Tap on Manage tab
Tap on sources
Tap on “Edit” and then on “Add” , type in the macosmovil repository which is http://apt.macosmovil.com

Tap on Add Source
After the source is added, go to “Search” in Cydia and search for AppSync

Select AppSync para OS 3.1
Install and Confirm
Select the cracked applications you want and sync from iunes, they will be synced without any errors

Go to Cydia

The following guide for iPhone owner who currently using Malaysia Telco Sim card (Digi, Maxis, Celcom), this guide will unlock 'Cellular Data Network' column under Network Menu in General setting inside your iPhone as well.

First you need:
iTunes 9
Telco Carrier Logo .IPCC file [Choose one Below]

GUIDE: Update iPhone Telco Carrier Logo + Unlock 'Cellular Data Network' [Malaysia Telco ONLY]

First, Please choose one .IPCC file below:

Maxis ---- Download [3.0 / 3.1.2]

Digi ------ Download [3.0 / 3.1.2]

Celcom -- Download [3.0 / 3.1.2]

You not able to select .IPCC files to update in iTunes by default. However, some tweak will do the job =), if you have done this before, you may proceed to update .IPCC file steps.

So, to enable Carrier Bundle Support in iTunes, you need to make sure your iTunes is closed, then open up command prompt [Start > Run > type in 'cmd' (without quotes)]
Then enter the following command into command prompt window :

C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

That's it! Now you may proceed to update your telco carrier logo!

UPDATE TELCO CARRIER LOGO
To update telco carrier logo, connect your iPhone to your PC, open up iTunes, then under 'summary' tab, HOLD SHIFT then click 'CHECK FOR UPDATE', change the file type to .ipcc file, then search for your .ipcc file and 'open'. Done!

Then you will notice the 'Cellular Data Network' will available in setting -> General -> Network in your iPhone!

Jailbreak iPhone FW 3.1.2

I would like to share some info here, about how to jailbreak your iPhone with firmware 3.1.2, this guide will work on iPod Touch firmware 3.1.2 too! Hope this guide would help someone needed.

Jailbreak iPhone/iPod Touch FW 3.1.2 with blackra1n.

First, you need:
Blackra1n RC3 tool ----- Download: [Windows / Mac]
iTunes 9 --------------- Download: [CLICK HERE]
Update iPhone to FW 3.1.2

** Note ** Blackra1n RC3 work with all baseband
** Attention ** Blackra1n WILL NOT UNLOCK your iPhone

After you have download all the software above, we will now proceed to jailbreak your iPhone/iPod Touch.

First, launch the blackra1n application that you have downloaded, and you will see the program look like below:

Now, plug in your iPhone to your PC / Mac, and make sure iTunes is closed, then click on the 'Make it ra1n' button, your iPhone screen will turn back, then a guy will some iPhone will appear on your screen [Look alike with photo on top of this post]

Next.. you will see this notification on your PC / Mac:
Your iPhone will restart, don't plug off your iPhone when it restarting.

Jailbreaking complete! Look at your iPhone/iPod Touch Springboard, new icon appear - blackra1n:
Now open the blackra1n application in your iPhone/iPod Touch, and you will see your iPhone/iPod Touch screen look like below:

Now check on Cydia, and click install, and wait for it to download Cydia.

Look at your springboard! Cydia is there!! Congratulations, you have jailbreak'ed your iPhone/iPod Touch successfully!

Now, you may uninstall blackra1n application if you want to. Don't worry, your device is still jailbreak'ed.

You now able to install 3rd party application to your iPhone through Cydia!!

**** IMPORTANT ****
For those who have iPhone 3GS comes with latest baseband, your iPhone will enter recovery mode EVERYTIME when it reboot/start, you HAVE TO open the blackra1n application, click on the 'make it ra1n' button, and plug your iPhone to your PC/Mac everytime!

Things you might missed out!

Because I didn't feed this blog for quite a while.. near a year already, and now I decided to start it back. I guess a lot of thing you guy missed out during this period, and I would point out some memorable thing I experienced.

1. Redang Trip with 'Hoodssss'
The best trip I ever had, everything I didn't try before, I tried on that trip. Like.. Snorkeling, Disco Dance, beach football, drink many salt water (sea water), jump from 2nd floor of the big boat into the sea (Very high!!), wearing goggle like 'so zai' go into dance floor -.- . Anyway, this trip happen around May 2009, before I go to UTAR, it was the best trip I ever experienced, if you ever have a chance to go, don't you ever miss it!

2. My next 3 years of education occurs here, UTAR.
Because to avoid get some 'poor / not interested' subject in local U (play play too much in Form 6!), after heavy discussion with my parent, I come to this university to continue my study, advanced to degree liao! No more uniform, freedom that occur here, UTAR (University Tunku Abdul Rahman), mine is Kampar, Perak Campus, together with Yi Fan, Aik Han, Chwen Hooi, Pei Sing, Jia Liang, many gok....and I Study 'COMPUTER ENGINEERING' (Don't Play Play!)

Quite tough for this subject, study E&E thing, Hardware, software, networking, programming, most of the computing subject, I guess a lot harder than computer science, (Engineering I guess....), gonna enter 3rd trimester of 1st year this coming Monday (18 Jan 2010). Quite satisfy my result so far, 1st trimester 3.95, 2nd 4.00, now total cGPA is 3.9517, of course very happy, but this just a beginning, hope the following trimester I can maintain my result, then PTPTN able to waive off! Then really 'tiok' ToTo liao, Hohoho~~ But quite worry about coming trimester, where the real challenge coming into this course.. Anyway, I will try my best.. Wish me!! and hope "Ang Gong Bo Bi"

Forgot to mention, my course for my batch only 26 people.. and 2 gals only.. lol.. While Computer Science got many leng luissss, zZzZzZz, don't know is people scare of this course, or what? Aiya nvm.. less people ma more job opportunity lo, meanwhile this course could earn a lot in future when I work.

Hehe, study computer must have a good laptop ma, hor? Abo call study computer meh? Kiddin~~ Anyway, this happen on July 2009, my new partner that accompany me in UTAR, my Dell Studio XPS 16! Been use it to do A LOT of thing: Gaming, ppstream, Web surfing, doing assignment, Programming, and NOW -> BLOGGING, and more la... Lazy to review this unit, but if you want to purchase this laptop and want some opinion from me, e-mail me and I could share with you. Anyway, this laptop is very nice laptop!

4. My Niece, YuKi Teoh.
Born last year March 19, and now around 10 month old already. My brother's daughter named Teoh YuKi, she was cute, active, and quite naughty.. been take care of her along this trimester break.. and quite tiring.. Anyway, when you see her smiles, you really can happy and keep playing with her. Everyone really 'sayang' her.. more than me liao, shit! *Kidding*

5. Bye Bye Kancil, Hi Hi Saga
My old little white kancil has been sold, and trade in new Proton Saga, of course, my 2nd sister will drive Proton Saga, and I currently driving Perodua Kenari, huhu.. evolved liao. Quite satisfy with this car so far, nice to drive, and spent few hours to polish it during this trimester break, and now become really really shiny d!

6. Born of Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB and Apple iPod Touch 16GB (2G)
An apple a day, keep the Bill Gates Away! I won the Apple iPod Touch 16GB 2nd Generation Edition from Norton 2010 Launch, my brother drive me to KL to get this prize, however, during this journey our car had an accident, and quite serious one, fortunately, no one injured. Anyway, quite love the new iPod Touch, really nice UI, easy to use, and really really nice.

If you still remember my posts, about Why iPhone may disappointed you. I did critic much about the iPhone, but after high demand on the market, and I loved my iPod Touch too, I decided gave a try, and now I got one of 'em! Subtitute my Samsung G810 (Spoiled already...) with Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB. Really really love it, no lag, nice UI, LOT OF APPLICATION, even though no 5 Mega Pixel (only 3 MP), but the quality of photo nice as well.. Now I realize, I want a phone that I can do much on it, not a phone that can do much for me.. mean -> A PURE SMARTPHONE, instead of a phone with only nice hardware specification (after bad experience on my Samsung G810).

iPhone is the best phone I have so far, and I really really love it, playing it everyday, and I never miss out my iPhone, have lots of application, and I never get bored to it! If you been thinking of getting one, you can go for it! And for Google Phone Nexus One, I not really know about it yet, and my sister plan to get one, if she get her hand one of those, I will share the review and info about this phone here.. Anyway, iPhone really beat most phone out there, Satio, 5800, n97, although those hardware specification better than iPhone, but if you want a nice user interface, nice to use, a pure smartphone.. iPhone is the one you want!

January 2009, I went to Bali, Indonesia with my family.. for 5 days 4 night.. suppose we should able to spend about 1 week at there, because we have to pray "god of sky?" during the chinese new year, that cause us have to cut short our time into 5 days 4 night.

It was a nice trip though, Bali is a famous tourist destination renowned for its highly developed arts, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music.

Because we had taken much much pictures, I'm quite lazy to elaborate each of them here xD (Sorry guys)

Sorry for not update my blog for quite a while.. Well, busy with my own life, especially -> Swimming, Gaming & Shopping. Well since I missed out a lot of interesting stuff that should be post in my blog, so I will try to recall them, write them into my blog ^_^.

okay, let start with Blood Donation.

Okay, still remember this happen this year, at 29 March, around morning 11 o clock, my friend and I (5 person total) planed to go for blood donation, organized by Teik Association. We take it as a part of Rover Scout Activities.

The procedure just simple as ABC, after the "pipe" is "plug" into your hand. They let you hold a tiny little rubber ball (Well mine is Basketball xD), then keep squeezing the ball to pump your blood into 1 pack, then done~.

Also, together we 5 people, only 1 person have different blood group with us, he is Kok Nian.. pity isn't it? we all A+ but he AB.. Then the hypothesis come in mind.. Because we 4 (me, gim yong, xing yew and yi fan) keep playing and join together along this holiday, while Pak Kok (aka. Kok nian) need to work, maybe that made us same blood group... so if you really want to get A+!! Just JOIN US MORE.. lol ^_^

Actually, blood donation just very easy, just have a nice early sleep before that day. Get some simple body check up during that day, then everything is done. Now you have the Resurrection power in your hand, why don't you be part of us? Help the society, who knows.. you might need them 1 day?

Photography has been brought to the forefront with fabulous Nokia N86 slider mobile phone, with an 8 mega-pixel camera feature, a wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens, a dual LED flash and a fast shutter for reduced motion blur. The N86 really does pack a punch and take superb quality digital photo's that it can only be compared to that of a stand alone digital camera. Whilst we are excited about the N86 8Mp camera abilities lets not forget that Samsung have beaten Nokia with regards to an 8 mega-pixel camera mobile phone a while ago now. Recording digital video images is just as simple and are of the highest quality in all light conditions at fantastic 30 frames per second. Operating this marvellous camera function is simple to get grips with for any novice. If photography really isn't your forte then the Nokia N86 is not for you.

What we know for sure is that Nokia N86 mobile phone is a slide design handset with dimensions of 103.4mm x 51.4mm x 16.5mm with a hefty weight of 149g but when you consider how much technology has been packed into the N86 it is a fair weight. The Nokia N86 comes in a choice of two colour options which include Black and White and comprises a large and very bright 2.6 inch OLED scratch resistant display screen displaying up to 16 million colours with screen resolutions of 240 x 320 pixels, and with 8 gigabytes of on-board memory providing a vast amount storage space but this can be increased massively with a 16GB MicroSD memory card. All the detailing of the metal frame of the N86 makes this handset a very attractive mobile phone. Call time available on the N86 is up to 6.3 hours and a stan-by time of up to 312 hours or up to a massive 25 hours of music play back time with a full charge up of the N86 battery.

There are some other fantastic features on the Nokia N86 other than the already mentioned brilliant 8 mega-pixel camera feature. There is a built-in music player system with dedicated music keys which supports MP3-MP4-eAAC+-WMA music file formats plus an FM Radio with RDS technology and an FM transmitter. Music can be enjoyed through the built-in stereo speakers or the Bluetooth stereo headset. Customising the N86 with a ring-tone is so straight forward and the user can choose from the available MP3 or Polyphonic ring-tones or downloaded tunes. The user can really build up a fantastic music collection from the Nokia Music Store where there are million of tunes available.

Connecting to the internet via the Nokia N86 is possible as the handset supports WAP 2.0 XHTML and HTNL web browsing technologies also with the inclusion of the EDGE technology Class 32,296 / 177.6 kbits, 3G – HSDPA 3.6 Mbps and a Symbian OS S60 rel 3.2. connecting to other compatible devices is possible via the Micro USB and Bluetooth with A2DP technologies provided on the Nokia N86. The N86 operates on GSM-850/9001800/1900 & HSDPA-900/1900/2100 supported networks.

For other entertainment purposes the user can enjoy the Java MIDP 2.1 gaming facilities presented on the Nokia N86 mobile phone, especially with the N-Gage motion gaming feature which takes the gaming experience to a whole new level of fun and entertainment.

In terms of applications the user can enjoy built-in GPS, aGPS function, a Voice Memo along with many many more useful tools to provide a more organised lifestyle. There is a kick-stand at the back of the handset to make viewing recorded video clips a more enjoyable pleasure, its a little added feature like this thats adds more desirable effect to the handset.

Keeping in contact with others with the messaging services available on the Nokia N86 is simple and easy, the services supplied include SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging) and of course Emailing.

Nokia N97 - The Next Generation Mobile Computer

Nokia has unveiled the new touch-screen multimedia Nokia N97 - the next generation high-end mobile phone from Nokia during Nokia World 2008. Also the 1st Nseries Touch Screen phone.

The Finnish mobile phone giant has dubbed its new N97 handset the "world's most advanced mobile computer", and promises it will bring users closer to the internet on the move.

The device combines a large 3.5in touch-screen, similar to that found on the Apple iPhone, with a slide-out Qwerty keyboard reminiscent of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 and the T-Mobile G1. Unlike the Apple iPhone, the N97 will be able to play the Flash videos used on many websites, including our own Telegraph news pages. It also supports instant-messaging and email on the go, boasts a five-megapixel camera, and a huge 48GB of memory, capable of storing thousands more songs than the Apple iPhone and many other leading devices.

"From the desktop to the laptop and now to your pocket, the Nokia N97 is the most powerful, multi-sensory mobile computer in existence," said Jonas Geust, a vice president at Nokia. "The Nokia N97 mobile computer adjusts to the world around us, helping stay connected to the people and things that matter most."

Nokia has put high-speed web access at the heart of its new device, along with one-button, 'always-on' access to social-networking sites such as Facebook. The phone also uses its built-in GPS technology to provide location-specific information. Nokia, which calls the service 'social location', said that it will enable N97 users to update their social-networking profiles with precise details about their location and find nearby friends.

"Today, we are at the threshold of another profound change in the way we connect and interact with each other and with our world," said Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, chief executive of Nokia. "This is a world where you will have the power to tailor and personalise your internet how and when you like, to make your day-to-day life easier and more fulfilling."

The new N97 will tie in closely with Nokia's Ovi platform of software and services, which include music downloads, photo-sharing services and mapping software. A new-look Nokia Maps program on the N97 will allow users to pre-plan a journey on their computer and then synchronise the route across to their mobile phone.

Nokia has also promised that it will follow the lead of Apple, Google and Research in Motion, makers of the BlackBerry, by making it easier for third-party developers to write additonal software and programs for Nokia handsets. Owners of the N97, which runs the Symbian operating system, can already download thousands of applications to their phone, and Nokia said it is creating "new opportunities" for third parties to develop innovative widgets and internet service applications for Nokia devices.

The Nokia N97 is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2009, and will cost around £470 without a contract, although many network operators are expected to heavily subsidise the cost of the handset, or even offer it for free on some tariffs.

Nokia, which has more than a billion customers worldwide, faces stiff competition from newcomers to the mobile phone market, such as Apple, with its hugely popular iPhone, and even Google, which has helped to develop the open-source Android operating system that will be running on several phones next year, and which promises to bring the desktop computing experience to mobile devices.

Although some technology commentators and analysts are sceptical whether the Nokia N97 has the potential to be an 'iPhone killer', others are more upbeat about its prospects.

"With the N97, Nokia has produced the first phone that will truly challenge, and even transcend, Apple's best," said Robin Landy, of mobile phone review website Omio.com. "Nokia has brought together a lot of common smartphone features, such as GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G internet, in one gorgeous device. Crucially though, they've combined the standard stuff with features that really matter to users, but are often missing from rival handsets.

"A proper Qwerty keyboard will make a huge difference to the everyday user experience, and the huge amount of memory means that even people with large music collections can leave their iPods at home.

"The N97 lacks the in-your-face dazzle of the iPhone, but it does strike a balance between understated good looks and functional practicality." - Telegraph

Now the questions is, what processor will Nokia N97, there's a rumor talk about that N97 will use back old processor like in Nokia n95 - ARM11 Processor. How much RAM?

I prefer design on Nokia N95 8GB, even it bulkier. I don't really like the Keypad on N85, just a piece of plastic, especially the back of N85, really not nice.

Anyway, N85 is still "NEW" product while N95 8GB is bit "OLD" but with excellent specs and software especially come to v30 firmware.. So If I want to buy one of these phone, all of you think which one should be better?

Yesterday went to Aeon Jusco in Bandar Perda with my friends, walked through many shop, and entered into a computer shop.. Saw a very very cool wireless router from Belkin, N1 Vision.
This router is extreme cool, isn't it? With easy to read display showing your home network, upload and download speed and more. Also.. the router is really thin and really sleek design..

Really cool isn't it? Oh ya.. the most disappointing part is.. the price of the router.. =(.. Well, Belkin: N1 Vision cost $199, but sell RM799 in Malaysia, which is about 2x than the price of my Linksys WRT300N.. I think I'll pass this cool stuff, really no money recently..

My last post about Nseries war is between Nokia n95 8gb and Nokia n82. There are no winner, both phone are really good at their job and it is up to individual suit.

Now, Nokia n96 just on sale last week in Malaysia. It is the newest Nokia smartphone in the Nseries range of products. It is the official successor to Nokia N95. The handset was publicly announced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona 2008. What the question is.. Should we buy or upgrade n95 8gb or from n95 8gb to the newest Nokia n96?? Is it worth..?

If you can compare the different above, it show that there was large amount of positive different of Nokia n96 to Nokia n95 8gb, but if you categorize it, you will notice n96 is better on Video playback. if you cut off all the video centre, nokia map application (because n95 can obtain via software update). Then you will notice n96 good for nothing except Video playback and s60 FP 2 compare to n95 8gb.

n95 8gb with 3D graphic accelerator make user have good time with N-gage gaming, but n96 don't have, it give poor gaming quality like n81 that I had before, plus.. with s60 feature pack 2 that featured Animated Icons and transition, how it could survive with no 3D accelerator like n81 does (n81 slide transition not very good with some laggy animation).

DVB-H is the featured feature in nokia n96, but in Malaysia, DVB-H only available via mobile operator 018 (U-mobile) that featured mobile TV, and Malaysia not really popular in DVB-H yet..

MOST features on n96 already featured in nokia n95 8gb.. and in Malaysia, the price of n95 8gb is around RM2300-RM2500, while n96 in Malaysia cost RM3399. Difference about RM1000.. is it worth to pay for more RM1000 for few feature on n96 that with no Xenon, 3D acceleration mobile?

If you like new and update product, Nokia n96 may a good choice for you, because it just released in Malaysia, if you can't afford that much, n95 8gb or n82 is enough for you.. still.. it up to individual need.

Nokia Nseries is a product family consisting of multimedia smartphones. These are convergence mobile devices supporting digital multimedia services such as music playback, video capture, photograhy, mobile gaming and Internet services. Nseries is aimed at users looking to pack as many features as possible into one device.

Among the Nseries Smartphones, nokia n95 8gb, nokia n82, and the just released nokia n96 are famous in Malaysia, every fans of n95 or n82 saying their own mobile set is the best. And now, even the war started long long time ago, but until now.. there wasn't a clear winner here. Of course, n82 owner said their n82 win and so the n95 owner do!

Nokia n95 8gb obviously bulkier than Nokia n82.

But n95 8gb has a large screen with 2.8 inches which larger than nokia n82 which is 2.4 inches. Both phones has TV out function to connect to TV. Nokia n95 8gb is a slider phones with a nice keypad but nokia n82 keypad is too small which was bit disappointing.

Comment: I give Nokia n95 8gb win because of it large screen and good keypad. Even both have TV out function, this is just a reason for n82 fans to prove their n82 not fall behind in this category, it is quite inconvenient and bit impossible for user to connect to TV alway while surfing internet or watching video. While keypad is because of many complaint in Malaysia for n82 users because too small. And about slider or candybar, it all up to all up to individual.

Camera:
Both smartphone equiped with 5 Megapixel Carl-Zeiss Optic Camera with auto-focus. Nokia n82 pawned Nokia n95 8gb with very very good Xenon Flash, capable user to take very very nice photo in low light condition, while n95 8gb only single LED flash. Nokia n95 8gb did great job either in bright condition only. Obviously, Nokia n82 win because it is a true camera replacement. Plus, Nokia n82 has camera cover where Nokia n95 8gb don't have.

Comment:
No doubt, Nokia n82 did a good job in camera, that what nokia n82 made for, the best Nseries camera phone. If you want a camera phone, stop reading the remaining part, Nokia n82 is the right phone for you.

Music Quality and Control:
Nokia n95 8gb equiped with 2 stereo speaker while n82 just has 1, the quality and loudness for n95 8gb is better and has dedicated music control which nokia n82 doesn't, also, the music control button able user to use for their N-gage gaming (with software). After all, nokia n82 did good job in music either, but nokia n95 8gb is better.

Comment:
Nokia n95 8gb actually win this category for better music quality and control, but if you eager to choose nokia n82, it did a great job either.

Storage and connectivity:
Nokia n95 8gb with internal 8GB memory with NO memory slot, while Nokia n82 with microSD support SDHC memory slot with is more "future proof", capable user to insert more than 16GB memory card, also, it all up to individual. The N95 8GB has a standard mini-USB port. Almost everybody has a mini-USB from a Mp3 player or cardreader cable at home but not a micro-USB cable which the N82 needs. Also, transfer large amount of files using a memory card reader is far faster than using an USB cable. So, Nokia n82 win this category because n95 8gb has really slow transfer speed using USB connectivity.

Comment:
The standard Mini-USB port in Nokia n95 8gb is really usefull when you are visiting a friend and want to show him some pictures you took with your N95 8GB compare to nokia n82. After all, Nokia n82 capable to put more than 8gb of files is quite useful to turn your mobile phone like a multimedia computer, but honestly, 8GB is really enough. Nokia n95 8gb transfer speed can be faster by using Wireless home network.

Battery Life:
Nokia n95 8gb with BL-6F (1200 mAh) and Nokia n82 with BP-6MT (1050mAh). In teory, Nokia n95 8gb is a winner, but actually the different not really much. But with Nokia n82 Xenon Flash really a battery drainer compare to Nokia n95 8gb LED, but it worth for a much better quality picture. So.. Draw!

N95 8gb is more expensive with around RM2300-RM2500 that represent nokia n95 8gb status, while Nokia n82 is around RM1800.

Comment: That make Nokia n82 owner more and more in this country, is all up to individual.

Unlocked Seal at Nokia - Open At Own Risk

Last Week, Nokia introduced and launched a weird website called Open At Own Risk at http://www.openatownrisk.com

Nokia is now running a new viral marketing website with a hint of upcoming announcement in about 101 hours time. The website, OpenAtOwnRisk.com did not tell you what they are going to announce. The count down timer is about 101 hours and 30 minutes more from now, which turns out to be (7/7/08) Monday 5AM EST.

although someone has manage to find a NSeries logo in the flash file, it is not sure if Nokia is announcing a new service, software or new mobile device. Make your own guess according to this sentence in the flash movie, “A secret that can now be found within Nokia Download service, allowing the public- you, to find the key to break the seals. And see…”

What’s going on?

“Hundreds of years ago, scientists, artists and members of Royal families gathered to produce a clip of grand weirdness. A clip stranger and more amazing than anything that had ever been made before. But the clip turned out too weird! People went mad from seeing it and it was too much for the common man to handle. Thus the clip was locked away, in a mysterious box with four seals. The knowledge of how to break the seals has been passed down from one generation to another, hidden within the technological masterpieces of history. Edison's light bulb, the Wright Brothers' airplane and Apollo 11 all held the secret of unlocking the box. A secret that can now be found within Nokia Download service, allowing the public - you, to find the key to break the seals. And see…the weirdest clip. Ever made…”

After users, click the next arrow, users will encounter a seal to unlock, if users keep click the next arrow, there will have more seals to unlock, there are 4 all together.

To Break the seals, Nokia user must access the Download! service from their Nokia Mobile (Nseries and Eseries Supported). Users have to be update their catalog and find an application called "The Box" or "secret". It contains 4 files look like below (Application, Ringtone, Video, Wallpaper). Use all these 4 objects to solve all the riddles.

There are four seals to unlock. And I will show you the way to solve all the riddles.

1st Seals: 6 Pictures code Seal.

Method to unlock: To Unlock this, users have to download the Video files from Download! service. The video shows a magician perform different trick to summon and vanish things, users have to watch closely what the magician do and arrange accordingly the code like the video does.The Video Shown below.

Answer: Egg, Bird, Spoon, Knot, Rings, Spades

After you unlocked the 1st seal, the box will open and show you a very very weird clip ever made from Nokia (shown below). Till now, I still don't get the point what Nokia want to show us.

Once you unlocked first seal, you notice there some bonuses you can get. You can download Wallpaper, Portrait pictures and Video behind the scene of the weird clip. Also, you can get your T-shirt after you finish all the seals.

2nd Seal: The Ringtone

Method to unlock: Microphone needed for this seal, users have to play the sound clip called (The Ringtone) through computer microphone after clicked "record" button. The seal will be unlock once the ringtone recognized.

3rd Seal: The Wallpaper Scan

Method To Unlock: Webcam needed, users have to download and open a wallpaper called "The Wallpaper" and show in front the webcam and match the background beside the eye (Click the eye to start the webcam). This is quite annoying when the "eye" not recognized it. Be patient and the seal will unlock once succeed. The wallpaper look like below.

4th Seal: The Code Breaker

Method To Unlock: Last seal to be unlock, to unlock this seal, users have to install "The Application"(shown below). Start the application and type the code shown in the computer screen to get the answer, set your answer back to computer and the seal will be unlocked.

Samsung ar Samsung... why you really suck making those flash games.. So many bug, especially for long jump.. we can jump to over 10 million points, now.. all your point cannot save pulak..only able to save up to 8k or more bit nia..

then what happen to us (new users) and those "hackers".. is really not fair la.. Samsung ar Samsung.. you wan 10m points, i can do it.. you wan 8k point.. i also can do it. Why you dun wan change to 8k point be4, for fair, for everything.. now.. new users can't pass 8k point.. Should you ban the Long jump event? Kek sim Samsung.. Mission possible oso many bug.. this also many bug..

[Edited] Why Iphone 3G May Disappoint You In Future

Still remember last Friday, wanted to promote my Samsung G810 for sale to girl classmates in my class. I heard them all said, they all wanted to wait for Iphone 3G release in Malaysia. Also, one of Iphone Maniac, Weizzz, also my friends, he wanted an Iphone so far..

I questioned myself, why so many people choose Iphone 3G? Honestly, I don't really like the Iphone (Sorry weizzz).

Okay.. I believe (especially girls) judge a product by its' look, I admit iphone 3G is a really nice phone, intuitive design. But did you really know what it contain inside? How long will you carry your Iphone with you? with above RM2k for how many years?

Did you know about Smelly Toufu? It doesn't look so nice and it smell totally disgusting, but it taste REALLY good.. I'm NOT kidding, it do really taste good. But for Iphone 3G, even it really nice look, but I bet it will disappoint you in future.

Why?
1. If so many people wanted to buy an Iphone, that make this Apple product no longer special. It true, so far, all the Malaysian think Iphone special because of it expensive price and it very rare with it special designing and looking.

2. Unable to update (or costly to update). Iphone is a intuitive device that enable users to stay up-to-date to their Apple product to fix bugs, more application and etc.. UNLESS APPLE IPHONE RELEASE IPHONE MALAYSIA EDITION, else users hard to get latest update as all the Malaysia Iphone has to be unlocked first so that it useable on all Malaysia Operator. Why update so important? Because NO UPDATE, how to guarantee your Iphone BETTER?

3. integral / non-removable battery. Man.. this is the most disappointing point in all Iphone. With integral battery, how you gonna change your battery? bring to shop? that sure COST much.. and think about it.. with integral battery, how long you can ensure your battery still in good condition? I think a normal phone battery can last about 3-4 Years long..

4. No Java/application to be installed. Iphone doesn't have Java, or allow user to install application like s60 platform do, Iphone soon will be release some games to be purchase, if no crack available, users have to purchase those games, just having your iphone to listen music, web experience? Soon you will get boring to your iphone.

5. Non Flash Support Web Browsing. Users unable to have full web experience like those s60 Flash Lite 3.0 device do.

6. Wimpy 2 Megapixel Camera. I guarantee you sure get boring to this feature soon, 2mp camera.. take wat? no zoom, no flash.. Even worst than my Nokia n81. Trust me, when I purchase my n81, I tell myself 2mp camera already good and acceptable.. soon, I regret with this 2mp camera.. For now.. at least 3.2mp camera needed.. 5mp camera best like those n95 did. Digital Camera? this just an excuse for yourself, did you bring your Digital cam all the time? Mobile phone camera is more convenient and needed so you alway able to "camera on the go".

7. No Video recording. Like those 6AS2 did, Video recording is a main feature for them as they alway "sex abuse" their friends when someone entered their "lair". They will record video using their mobile phones. In Summary, no Video recording, what for your mobile phone use?

8. NO Steoreo Bluetooth, I thought the iPhone was supposed to be part iPod. At least they fixed the recessed headphone jack flaw (and called it a new feature) but the A2DP stereo Bluetooth standard has been around for a while and is missing from the iPhone.

9. No Picture in MMS. Then what MMS for? Even we still use SMS daily, but MMS is a feature that every phone should have, to exchange pictures or anything whenever we need.

10. GPS and Google Earth. In Malaysia, I have tested Google Earth with my Samsung G810, still no routing for this country, just the map, to find your location.. and search for hotspot, still.. Iphone not allow any 3rd party application.. so.. no routing in iphone 3G for Malaysia users.

11. Cracked Touch Screen. There are many cases reported that Iphone 3G touch screen cracked in just 1 light dropped. So.. If you plan to use iphone for many years, can you guarantee that your phone never drop?

12. Annoying User Interface. Iphone famous with unable to copy and edit text,unable to copy or send tel. no (have to memorize). How long can you take this annoying user interface, because it doesn't user friendly at all.. Once you accidentally deleted your whole paragraph of text, or want to transfer a lot of text, you will find your iphone suck, you might just thrown out your iphone.

13. NOT SUPPORT BLUETOOTH FILE TRANSFER. This is the most trendy part among us... plus.. Iphone is part of ipod, with no bluetooth files transfer support, how we gonna share new music? also.. no files transfer.. really useless la.. even my old Motorola e398 also can do this...

Think well, will your money worth for buying this Apple Iphone. However.. If you really can ignore all these 13 (Edited) reasons, Iphone could be suit for you.. Remember, even Apple promised cheaper and faster iphone 3G, but in Malaysia, Iphone NOT CHEAP AT ALL! In addition, expensive than before!!

Still confusing about which phone to choose between Samsung G810 and Nokia N81 since my mom not allowed me to sell both phone for better mobile phone. My dilemma start begin here:

If I Choose Samsung G810:

Sacrifice a very very nice 16 Million Colour Screen. ( G810 256K)
Miss out Famous Nokia Gaming Platform - The Nokia N-gage (Less play already...)
Sacrifice Better and louder Music Quality ( G810 Not Bad either)
Bulkier

If I Choose Nokia N81:

TOTALLY Sacrifice 5.0 Megapixel Camera with 3x Optical Zoom, Xenon Flash, Auto-Focus and face detection (Which is A LOT A LOT BETTER than STUPID N81 2.0 MP camera)
Miss out Full GPS Function.
Miss out nice and Sturdy Design on G810
No more HSDPA (but 3G usage expensive...)
Miss TV-Out (No use one..)
No more 2.6 Inches big Screen (N81 2.4 Inches)

Lightscribe! It's Cool!

Recently read about a new technology about lightscribe burner that could burn disc and ALSO BURN LABEL.. very cool man!

LightScribe is an optical disc recording technology that utilizes specially coated recordable CD and DVD media to produce laser-etched labels with text or graphics, as opposed to stick-on labels and printable discs.

The LightScribe method uses the laser similar to the way that data is burned to the disc; a greyscale image of the label is etched to the top side of the disc. The discs come in many colors: monotone (the original), red, green, blue, yellow, and orange backgrounds.

After all, what you need?

Hardware:
You must have a LightScribe-enabled disc drive (either built into your desktop or notebook PC or an external drive). Saw it at my nearest store about RM115

Software:
The type of LightScribe software you use will depend on what's bundled with your hardware.

Media:
LightScribe CDs and DVDs have a special coating that interacts with the laser in your LightScribe-enabled disc drive. You must use LightScribe CDs and DVDs in order to burn a label onto your discs. Saw it at nearest store 20 Disc RM35

Well, in Malaysia.. some people even don't know what is a Wii? I not Wii fans, or PS3 Xbox fans either. But I choose Wii because of some certain reason of course!

Well What is wii?

The Wii (pronounced as the English pronoun we, IPA: /wiː/) is the fifth home video game console released by Nintendo. The console is the direct successor to the Nintendo GameCube. Nintendo states that its console targets a broader demographic than that of Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3.^[5] It competes with both as part of the seventh generation of video game systems.

A distinguishing feature of the console is its wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and detect movement in three dimensions. Another is WiiConnect24, which enables it to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode.^[6]

Nintendo first spoke of the console at the 2004 E3 press conference and later unveiled the system at the 2005 E3. Satoru Iwata revealed a prototype of the controller at the September 2005 Tokyo Game Show.^[7] At E3 2006, the console won the first of several awards.^[8] By December 8, 2006, it had completed its launch in four key markets. Well, Wii is the latest games console from gaming giant Nintendo. Wii is scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter of 2006. Wii aims to change the face of gaming, with a revolutionary controller and new types of games Nintendo are hoping to attract gamers who have never previously played.

Also with its 'virtual console' software, Wii will be able to play games from previous consoles such as the original NES, Super NES, N64, Sega Genesis (also known as Mega Drive) and the TurboGrafix 16. This will allow older gamers to relive their favourite games. Gamecube discs will also be playable on the Wii.

Wii already has a strong lineup of games in production, with many more to follow. Familiar characters like Mario and Link will make appearances, as well as new franchises.

Instead of just focusing on better graphics like their rivals, Nintendo are focused on delivering an improved, fun playing experience with better interactivity. The Wii will also retail at a much lower price than the other consoles. All in all the Wii is an exciting breakthrough in gaming.

THE Nintendo Wii is this year’s must-have games console, and should delight the lucky few who receive one tomorrow morning. But the huge public acclaim for the Wii and its unusual motion-sensing remote control has already ruined Sir Howard Stringer’s Christmas.

Stringer, the Cardiff-born chairman and chief executive of Sony Corporation, is relying on PlayStation 3 to help revive the misfiring Japanese electronics giant that he has run for the past 18 months. This Christmas, however, the Wii is estimated to be outselling the PS3 by more than two to one.

The faltering progress of Sony’s new games machine has been the subject of constant debate, a testament to its commercial importance. Yet the PS3 appears to have been blown away by the early success of a rival that went almost unnoticed before its launch last month.

All the focus has been on Sony’s battle with Microsoft, the software giant that launched its Xbox 360 console a year ago. Nintendo was regarded as a distant No 3 — no longer able to match its rivals’ firepower.

The Wii’s graphics engine is technically less sophisticated. But Nintendo has compensated with the novelty and appeal of its remote control, which allows players to swing at, say, an electronic tennis or golf ball as if playing the game for real. Apart from anything else, the “Wiimote” has generated lots of media coverage.

One report declared the Wii is “the best excuse to get off the couch. Anyone who plays the included Wii Sports will almost certainly come to the same conclusion: this thing is really fun! Seriously, button tapping can’t compete with this system’s intuitive, tactile remote controls that must be swung around”.

Van Baker at Gartner, the research-and-analysis firm, said: “It’s created some excitement around gaming that has not been there in a long time. Nintendo’s titles are more family-friendly and more fun.”

The Wii is also much cheaper, costing $250 (£127) in America, or £179 in Britain. The Sony PS3, which is not yet available in Europe, costs either $500 or $600, depending on the machine’s memory-storage capabilities.

In America, analysts believe Sony is struggling to hit the 1m sales target it has set for the end of the year. In contrast, Nintendo’s Christmas sales look likely to exceed 2m.

Baker said: “My best guess is that Sony has sold 300,000 to 400,000 units. They’ll get about 750,000 units, or a little more. That leaves them with a lot of ground to make up.”

Both firms are struggling with supply shortages, although Sony’s problems are more severe — it was forced to postpone the European launch of PS3 until next year.

“The big challenge for Sony is that PS3s are so hard to get,” said Baker. “To a large degree, many people are buying something else. Sony is going to have to battle to retain the market share that they’ve had historically. They’ve given a two Christmas advantage to Microsoft, and a one Christmas advantage to Nintendo.”

The number of consoles in the market is important because it provides the platform for lucrative game sales, the more profitable end of the $27 billion- a-year industry. Sony and Microsoft both lose money on console sales, but experts believe Nintendo makes a decent profit on the Wii.

However, Microsoft is hoping to end the year with 10m Xbox 360 consoles in the marketplace, and is working on the launch next year of a follow-up to the successful Halo 2 game. The enthusiastic reception given to the Wii is a reminder that it is not always the best technology that wins battles in consumer electronics.

Console Wars: Demand Does NOT lies

Recently alway dreaming about getting a new console for myself replace my old playstation 2. I alway do some research and study on the 3 new generation consoles : Microsoft Xbox360, Sony Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii.

I used to support Sony product so far but this time I think I pass.. Due to the PS3 are pricey for me AND!! it does not have "Ahem" or CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW games so far.. Because I own myself a Nintendo DS, So.. I think I going for Nintendo Wii this time.

Indeed, The nintendo wii are the least graphic performance if compare to another 2 high-end gadget. But with the ultimate gaming experience, I sure that nintendo Wii make you "experience the game".

Recently saw some video from youtube showing that a console war between 3 consoles and their "flagship" character with them. Here is it..

I don't know the ending yet. But look at the sales chart. Nintendo Wii own the market sales.

So.. My final Decision... is.... NINTENDO WII!!

[Guide] Nokia N-gage Games Installation

Recently reading some forum notice that a lot people request some info about "Ahem" Ver. of N-gage games.

I WILL NOT POST ANY LINK OF THE GAMES! SUPPORT ORIGINAL!!

WARNING: You're responsible for any adjustment made on your handset

I won't post any cracked games in here, because it illegal (SAY NO TO PIRACY!!), but to remind all of you proper way to install and some precaution so that your phone won't screw up.

INSTALLATION GUIDE:

1.After your download the games (it may split into few parts), most of the files are winRAR, extract those files.

2. You will see some "bin-xxxx" files, keep extract until you see the n-gage games setup application look like below.

3. You can also see there a winRAR file called "Tools.rar" extract it and install the MetroTRK Application (use PC suite application manager).
NOTE: s60_3_1_app_trk_2_7.sisx FOR S60 V3 WITH FEATURE PACK 1

4. Open up the Setup. Click Next then you will see some box to tick like below.

For 1st time install n-gage cracked games :
Make sure BiNPDA Root Certificate already installed, skip installation of SecMan is UNTICK

For 2nd time or more:
You may TICK this option

5. On Your Phone, open TRK, For 1st launch, It will ask for BLUETOOTH TO SWITCH ON, click "NO", instead go to "OPTION" and set the CONNECTION MODE TO "USB". After that, Go to option again and click connect. You will see the STATUS is connected. Don't Exit TRK Application, You may Hide It.

6. Back to the setup. Don't Do any adjustment on this page, just tick "Find MetroTRK port automatically" and click next.

7. The Setup will install the SecMan Application which allows you to install future "Unsigned" releases application, without signing them every time.
To do this, a 1 time installation of BiNPDA SecMan is needed.

8. Next, The setup will ask you to select your location you want to copy the games. BUT before that, ON YOUR PHONE open the "SecMan" in application folder, in option click "Install Root Certificate".
NOTE: NEVER TOUCH THE "TURN PLAT. SECURITY OFF" OPTION.
NOTE: Once you installed the root certificate, you don't need to install it for another time.

9. Back to the setup, on the "transfer game to:", click "Disk E:" (Recommended)

10. The setup installing the game to mobile. Be patient! Have a Cup of Coffee .
WARNING: NEVAR UNPLUG YOUR USB CABLE, IT MAY SCREW YOUR N-GAGE APPLICATION.

11. After transfer complete, DON'T UNPLUG USB CABLE DIRECTLY, YOUR PHONE WILL HANG AND UNRESPONSIVE UNTIL YOU TAKE OUT THE BATTERY. On your phone open back the TRK Application, Choose Option and click "DISCONNECT", OR CLICK "EXIT" to exit TRK Application.

12. Open up your N-gage Application and the installation will auto-start.
Note: After you select location for installation, if the installation still doesn't show up, exit the n-gage application and start again, click the icons to restart the installation again, it will install.

Note: For "Installation Files Corrupt, Unable install games" Delete the files then do it again. If you want, redownload the files from internet and do it over again. (Recommended)

13. REMEMBER!! SAY NO TO PIRACY!!
